The Gift of This New Day

A new album of music, ‘The Gift of This New Day’, has been released in response to demand from listeners of the Church of England’s Daily Prayer app and podcast. Now available on CD and major streaming platforms, the album features all-new recordings of the most requested musical pieces from Morning Prayer, performed by St Martin’s Voices.

The album includes a blend of chant, public domain sacred works, and five newly commissioned pieces by leading composers: Cecilia McDowall, Nils Greenhow, Sarah MacDonald, Owain Park, and Lucy Walker. The music reflects a range of styles designed to support prayer and contemplation.

St. Peter’s Music is a collaborative of musicians composing songs by and for their church family.
